I really, really like to make things.
When someone asks me what I do, I almost always stutter an awkward answer of "Oh, I make things." I need a defining tag line like Denise Sharp : Folder of Paper or d. Sharp: Maker of Things. Until that catches on, a little to fill you in:
I am an artist, wife and mother with a weakness for flea markets, chubby babies and good chocolate. I love to roll up my sleeves and make things, so that is what I do. My line of paper tiaras, candy containers, cake toppers and letterpress ephemera is available in boutiques across the country and my work has been featured in numerous publications including Martha Stewart Weddings and Country Home.
I live in my hometown of Portland with my amazingly supportive husband and two beautiful boys, 10 and 4, in an old house that I wish was self cleaning.
