our trip

G and I had so much fun in the Bay Area for his birthday. In fact, my husband was quite spry for his advanced age. {kidding!} We got to spend time with dear friends and eat some crazy good food.

We hit the usual haunts, and while on 4th street, were lured into Anthropologie to get a closer look at this display. Plastic beverage bottles cut and warped into a lovely tangle of flowers.

 

Also stopped into Maison d'Etre. I adore that store and had not been in for a long time.

Of course, we missed the boys something fierce and were so happy to see them on Monday afternoon. {and Mom to see us. Thanks!}

A fun weekend was had. Not so fun: waking up Tuesday to a washing machine that never stopped filling with water overnight. Grateful for G and Wet Dry Vacs.

a year older

M turned 11 yesterday. I am so proud to be his mama.

{Looking through baby photos makes my uterus break - yeah, too much information - maybe just one more? No, said with a sigh.}

SURPRISED my husband with a trip {sans children} down to CA last night. Yesterday he had a birthday that ends in a zero. Back on Tuesday - have a great weekend!

I love all of the delicious colors of very delicious macarons.  I used a new artist palette for a fun way to gift them - just a little dab of icing {whip up a tiny batch or even use a  little bit from a tube from the grocery} will keep them in place. I slipped a large cello bag over these and attached a gift tag.
