Kids are awesome.
Last week, C {4} came up to me and started his sentence with "Okay, here's the deal....". That sums up his personality in under 5 words.
M {11} saw a musical last week for a school fieldtrip. Later that day he got on GarageBand on the computer and recorded a spontaneous, rousing {and long - 5 min.} showtune about the Chernobyl disaster and the town of Prypiat. An article in National Geographic was his muse.
As I type this C is putting the finishing touches on his fort that he has constructed with 3 blankets, a coat rack, 8 pillows, a suitcase and a carry-on, a stack of books, a box of train pieces and 2 bins of toys. All at the end of my bed.
