I'm back. I hope you had a wonderful holiday and wish you all the best in the new year! We had a nice, low-key  holiday. The picture below is one of the boy's letters to Santa - a tradition from my husband's childhood. We roll the letter, stand it on end and light it from the bottom. Flames go up and then ashes glide down. That is how Santa receives the letter.

I am thinking about my resolutions  and changes I want for the New Year and I may just borrow this paper lighting tradition for them. To write down all of the things I want to let go of this year. Let them go into the ether. Poof.
