C turned three and we had a few small family celebrations this past weekend. Everyday he is a joy, a challenge, and my reminder that the very best can happen right when you are ready to give up. It is amazing to experience your children growing up, I just wish it didn't happen so fast. {small sigh}
I whipped together this paper bateaux hat from a vintage map and Japanese wood grain paper. The number three is tin, used to mark telephone poles. It survived a couple of wearings, but wanted to fall off a lot. I think a band of cardstock , in an oval shape, to fit the head and adhered to the inside would keep it from popping off.
