Last week was an intense brew. Work orders, a busy bridal season - so cake toppers to make and deadlines, a dog that needed a scrub after climbing into the fireplace after an animal {reminding me of this dog that got dirtier still}, a house that desperately needed to be cleaned and alas, on Saturday, a visit from great friends {and their dog}from the Bay Area. It was a wonderful weekend and the kids loved seeing their godparents.
C giving his godmother Adrienne a dose of charm {right before accidentally flicking lemonade in her eye}
M with his godfather, Jerome. It was decided by all that they were a Super Hero Duo - Flatus Man and his sidekick Burp Boy. Such highbrow humor around here, I know.
My husband, G and Jerome chartered a small boat and took M Sturgeon fishing. When congratulated for catching 3 fish, M replied, "Yes, and I made friends with 5!".
We mostly relaxed, noshed and did a bit of shopping - most everyone wants to go here when they come to town. We also noshed some more - thanks for joining us Cara, it was fun, and sorry I feel the need to be right about street geography! {mee-ow} I couldn't have inherited that trait.
We will see them on their way back down from Seattle next week and then I will have to go back to missing them and my other peeps down south. I wish Oregon and California could come to some sort of an agreement and just accordion fold most of the land between Portland and the Bay Area, so we could be a bit closer. What? That doesn't sound reasonable?
