I paired it with a green paper that reminds me of chalkboards and the old Fisher Price 'school desk' that had a tray of these letters.
The trick is attaching a thin strip of metal { I used a small, inexpensive ruler, but other things can work} to the inside of the package. To determine where to center it, I first wrapped the gift and creased the corners. To attach the ruler to the underside, I taped a strip of matching paper over it. If the paper you use is relatively thin, the letters will stay on even when standing up.
