One of the wonderful things about these here 'internets' is how it can shrink the world a bit. You can meet, communicate, learn and share with people from all different parts of the world. I had the pleasure of meeting a friend from New Zealand for the first time in real life last week. Friendship forged via Typepad. Cool.

The Kanamara Matsuri (Festival of the Steel Phallus, かなまら祭り?) is an annual Shinto fertility festival held in Kawasaki, Japan in spring.
