C was invited to a friend's birthday, and Legos{ and pirates}were the theme. I think most every kid loves to play with Legos. With this gift wrap, there's no question as to what is under the red.
I used a solid color gift wrap and matching card stock to make this. If you aren't able to match the card stock, you can glue the gift wrap to card stock you have on hand. For the circle tops, I used a large circle craft punch - it was just about the right size for the box we wrapped. You can also trace the desired size of circles and cut them outl. Using a glue stick, create 6 rings with 1 inch wide strips of paper - making the diameter of the ring just a hair smaller than the circle top.
Once dry, put glue on edge of rings and place on top of gift, weighting down with a book until dry. {the picture above shows blue gluestick that will dry clear} Adhere glue to outer edge of circle top and place on rings, weighting it down until dry. C later made a red paper tag and tied bright red ribbon around it.
It woud be pretty great to make each of the circles a box for more birthday stash.
